Book a Session
A Japanese indie rock band recording in a professional studio live room in Yokohama

In band recording, the most critical element is not just the sonic quality of individual instruments, but how to capture the "groove"—the intuitive breathing and timing that occurs when musicians perform in the same physical space. Our live room is meticulously designed as part of our 85m² studio area, allowing drums, bass, guitars, and keyboards to perform simultaneously without sonic saturation, balancing clear separation with a natural room ambience.

We offer more than just a physical space; our engineers work closely with performers to understand their artistic intent, suggesting optimal microphone placements (miking) to create raw materials that will maximize the potential of the subsequent mixing phase. With a maximum capacity of 6 musicians, we accommodate everything from intimate acoustic ensembles to full electric bands.

The Recording Process

01

Pre-Session Consultation

We review the song structure, instrumentation, and target sound. By analyzing reference tracks, our engineer develops a technical plan tailored to your genre.

02

Technical Setup

We handle instrument positioning and mic selection. Using large diaphragm condensers and precision tools, we prepare the capture chain for each instrument's characteristics.

03

Tracking

The ensemble performs together, iterating takes until the performance is perfect. We monitor from the control room to resolve phase issues or bleed instantly.

04

Data Organization

Recorded multitracks are organized and exported in your required format. All session data is kept in our secure archive for 12 months.

Who Is This Service For?

Our band recording services are specifically designed for artists who prioritize "live feel." It is the ideal choice when you want to avoid the sterile nature of individual overdubbing and instead capture the natural timing fluctuations and acoustic resonances that only happen when members play together.

Whether you are producing a raw demo or a commercial release, we support a wide range of goals. Located in Naka-ku, Yokohama, we are easily accessible for local artists and those traveling from Tokyo. We serve everyone from amateur bands requiring professional engineering guidance to pro production teams seeking efficient, high-fidelity tracking.

Workflow Inside the Studio

Once the session begins, we prioritize an efficient setup. From the positioning of the drum kit to the orientation of guitar amplifiers and the DI connection for the bass, our engineer leads the process to maximize your recording time. Performers can monitor their sound accurately through our high-end near-field monitors.

During recording, the engineer strictly manages levels to prevent clipping while preserving the full dynamic range of the performance. Our studio layout also allows for a seamless transition to the vocal booth for overdubbing if specific parts need to be layered after the main ensemble take.

Client Preparation Checklist

To ensure a productive session, we ask clients to prepare the following. First, finalize the song tempo (BPM) and ensure all members can perform to a click track (metronome). This significantly reduces the time required for subsequent editing and alignment.

Second, please complete all instrument maintenance—such as changing guitar strings or adjusting drum heads—before arriving. Time spent on tuning or maintenance inside the studio is included in the session hour. If you have sheet music or chord charts, sharing them with the engineer beforehand facilitates smoother communication.

Deliverables and Formats

Upon completion of the recording, we provide the following data. Standard delivery is in WAV format (24-bit / 44.1kHz or 48kHz) to ensure professional archival quality.

  • Individual multitracks for every instrument
  • Stem files (e.g., drum group, bass, guitar group)
  • Rough mix for immediate review

These files are provided as "dry" recordings (without effects) to allow full flexibility during the mixing stage. For more details on technical specifications, please see our File Formats and Delivery guide.

Deadlines and Scheduling

Following the tracking session, we typically require 1 to 3 business days for data organization and exporting. Please notify us in advance if you have an urgent deadline.

If you choose to commission our studio for the subsequent mixing and mastering, we will coordinate a separate schedule. For B2B clients, we request that payment be settled within 14 days as per our business rules.
