Frequently Asked Questions

To ensure a seamless recording experience for all our clients, we have compiled a comprehensive list of frequently asked questions regarding the operation of Maravediflow. From the initial booking process to final delivery and payment terms, these guidelines help artists and producers prepare for their time in the studio. If you have a specific request or a complex project that is not covered here, please feel free to reach out to us via our contact page.

We believe that clear communication is the foundation of a great recording. To avoid any misunderstandings regarding cancellation policies or intellectual property, we strongly encourage all clients to review our Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy before scheduling your session.

Booking and Scheduling

How do I book a session at Maravediflow?

You can request a booking by filling out the form on our contact page. Once submitted, our team will check the studio availability and respond to your inquiry within 24 hours. After the date is agreed upon, we will send you a detailed session plan and a preparation checklist to ensure everything is ready for your arrival.

Can I change or cancel my appointment?

Yes, changes and cancellations are permitted. However, to allow other artists the opportunity to book the slot, we require notification at least 3 days before the start of the session. Cancellations made less than 3 days in advance may be subject to a cancellation fee. Please refer to the cancellation policy in our Terms and Conditions for more details.

Is a deposit required to secure the booking?

Yes. To confirm your reservation, we require a deposit of 30% of the total estimated cost. This amount is fully credited toward your final invoice. Your booking is considered officially confirmed only once the deposit has been received and verified by our management.

Do you accept bookings for Sundays?

Sundays are handled strictly by appointment only. While this falls outside our standard operating hours, we can accommodate sessions based on staff availability. Please specify your preferred date and time when submitting your inquiry via the contact form.

What is the minimum age for unaccompanied clients?

Clients under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or a legal guardian throughout their time at the studio. Individuals aged 16 and older are permitted to book and utilize the studio facilities independently.

The Recording Process

What should I bring to my recording session?

Please bring your own instruments, lyric sheets, and reference tracks (demos) to guide the recording process. To maximize efficiency, we strongly recommend finalizing the tempo (BPM) and key of your tracks before arriving. For a detailed checklist, please see our "Guide to Recording Preparation" in the knowledge base.

Will a studio engineer be provided?

Yes. Every recording session at Maravediflow includes a professional engineer who handles all equipment operation, signal routing, and quality control. This allows the artist to focus entirely on their performance without worrying about the technical aspects of the capture.

What is the maximum capacity of the studio?

Our studio can accommodate up to 6 musicians simultaneously. With our layout consisting of a Live Room, Vocal Booth, and Control Room, we can efficiently manage full band recordings or multi-instrumental setups while maintaining sonic isolation.

Are breaks included during long sessions?

Absolutely. We encourage regular breaks during extended sessions to maintain vocal health and mental focus. Please note that break times are included in the total booked studio hours, so we recommend adding a small buffer to your schedule to ensure you aren't rushed.

What kind of equipment is available in the studio?

Maravediflow is equipped with high-quality large diaphragm condenser microphones for detailed capture, precise near-field monitors for accurate mixing, and professional acoustic treatment across all rooms to ensure a neutral and controlled recording environment.

Files, Delivery, and Data Management

In what format will I receive my recordings?

By default, we deliver all final files in high-resolution WAV format. Upon request, we can provide MP3 exports for quick review or multi-track stems for external mixing. Please coordinate the specific delivery requirements with your assigned engineer before the end of the session.

Do you provide backups of my session data?

Yes. We maintain a secure archive of all session data for up to 12 months following the completion of the project. If you lose your files within this period, we can resend them upon request. After 12 months, data is permanently deleted to comply with privacy standards and storage management.

How many revisions are included for mixing and mastering?

Our mixing and mastering services include up to 3 rounds of revisions. This allows you to fine-tune the balance and tone of your track. Any further revisions beyond the third round, or requests involving significant structural changes to the song, will incur additional charges.

What is the typical turnaround time for delivery?

For recording-only sessions, files can often be provided immediately upon completion. For projects involving mixing and mastering, the typical turnaround is between one and two weeks. If you have a strict deadline, please inform us in advance to discuss potential expedited delivery options.

Can I review the mixes online?

Yes. We share review files via secure cloud storage. To make the revision process as efficient as possible, we ask that you provide feedback using specific time-codes (e.g., "at 1:24, lower the vocal volume") rather than general descriptions.

Rights and Payments

Who owns the rights to the recorded audio?

The rights to the audio recording (the master rights) are transferred entirely to the client once 100% of the service fee has been paid. Maravediflow claims no ownership over the resulting masters. However, the client is solely responsible for managing the copyrights of the underlying composition (lyrics and music).

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept bank transfers and major credit cards. For individual clients, payment is typically required either in advance or immediately following the conclusion of the studio session.

Are there different payment terms for B2B clients?

Yes. For corporate clients and production agencies, we offer invoicing with a payment term of 14 days from the date of the invoice. Custom payment arrangements can be discussed and formalized through a separate written agreement.

Do the listed prices include tax?

Yes. All prices listed on our website include the Japanese consumption tax of 10%. A detailed breakdown of the net price and tax will be provided in your formal quote and final invoice.

How is my personal and project data protected?

We handle all personal information and recording data under strict confidentiality and security protocols. For a detailed explanation of how we process your data, please review our Privacy Policy and our Data Processing Agreement (DPA).
